Conversational UI is a growing field focused around applications which mimic interaction with a human instead of a machine. I've architected and developed a number of conversational UI applications for the Amazon Alexa line of products, Microsoft Voice Recognition and Javascript's Speech Recognition API.
Lincoln Center Theatre in New York is a client whom we had experience with building their web properties. Utilizing their existing scheduling API for performances, we were able to create a full-blow conversational UI assistant on Amazon Alexa.
Result: By architecting the conversational UI application in a way that utilized the existing web APIs, we were able to ensure that no extra work or workflows would need to be adopted by the client in order to support the new conversational assistant. Instead, the client followed their existing workflow for adding to the site, and the conversational UI assistant would dynamically pull in those changes.
